Once Upon a Plough

Reuben and Martha bought The Plough in December 2015 with their young daughter Seren. They fell in love with the unique history and charm of the 460 year old former cider house.  Immediately they set to work breathing life back into the old inn, by welcoming travelers from far and wide once more. In 2017  they welcomed their second daughter Eira Mo into the family business - the family, their two cats, chickens and other wild animals will welcome you warmly to the Plough and give you a holiday to remember. We pride ourselves on paying absolutely attention to the exquisite details, creativity and heart felt LOVE involved in making your stay memorable - we adore conjuring the magic to make your memories magnificent!

'Martha and Reu were incredible hosts who went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful time (and we did). The bell tent is beautifully furnished, it was total paradise to stay in. Martha cooked and incredible supper for us and the breakfast was wonderful. Everything about our stay was perfect and we wish we could give more than 5 stars!! We are already planning our return visit'.

"We stayed with Martha & Reuben for a friend's wedding and can only describe the experience as magical. Martha was very accommodating and thought of everything - it really feel like we were staying in a friends house. I was very touched with the extra thought in gluten intolerance and pregnancy. Would recommend to anyone and stay again if we were that way. :)"

"Our night in the bell tent was simply perfect! Martha and Reuben welcomed us in the setting sun and with hot pastries the next morning. The bell tent is very private in the middle of their huge piece of land. Hands down the most special AirBnB we've ever stayed at! Martha and Reuben are of impeccable taste and manners, and we promise you'll feel just at home with them... if only home could be this cosy and chilled"
